Welcome to Valencia Airport
Situated in the municipality of Manises, Spain, Valencia Airport is also known as Manises Airport. It lies eight km west of Valencia City and is adjacent to the Autovía A-3 highway that links Valencia and Madrid. It is also very near the Autovía A-7 coastal route leading to Barcelona. And that’s not all: it is Spain’s No. 8 busiest airport when judged on parameters of passengers and the second in this region after Alicante. There are car hire companies for tourists who want to visit the city.
Valencia Airport is linked to about 15 European countries and since 2000 the traffic to this airport has increased to over 6.5 million passengers a year. To cater to this huge increase many car hire companies have mushroomed. It has a terminal and a runway. In 2007, another regional terminal was constructed along with larger car parking facilities and an apron. The original runway was also increased by about 50 m.
There are two runways at Valencia Airport of which airlines usually use the longest one which stretches to a distance of 3,200 meters. In 2007, Line 5 of the Valencia Metro was extended to reach the airport. Now, not only does it have a regular train service to the city center but it also has a shuttle bus service, the Aerobus, which plies to several locations from the airport. Taxis are a good alternative to buses and hotel shuttles run free of charge. But the best option is a rental car because you can drive any location without wasting time for waiting for bus or a train.
Valencia Airport is on par with all the international airports of the world in terms of facilities. It has six cafeterias and a range of restaurants to suit all palates, such as the Grill & More for grilled food and Foodlasa Restaurant, a fine dining restaurant serving local cuisine.
Usually, passengers to Valencia comprise business people and some leisure travelers. For the former category, the airport is replete with three VIP lounges of which one can be used for small meetings of about four to six people. Besides, there are also two conference rooms available, one for a maximum of 10 people and the other for about 80 people. For business people hire car are available.

Visitors here can part their cars at some distance from the passenger terminal, while a shuttle service takes passengers from the parking lot to the terminal.
It’s very easy to hire cars from here, since several companies operate here. You could choose from Avis, Centauro, Europa Rent a Car, Europcar and Hertz.
